The average wedding now costs more than a lot of people’s first car, sometimes more than a house down payment. We didn’t think that made sense, and we didn’t think a beautiful wedding had to cost that much.
So we started collecting the numbers most wedding sites won’t show you — real itemized budgets from real couples, vendor negotiation scripts that actually work, and DIY projects that look far more expensive than they are.
Everything here comes from couples who planned a real wedding on a real budget and were willing to show their math. No guilt trips about eloping, no vague “just save more” advice — just numbers and tactics that work.
